Got the 20's on today and now im thinking of putting on a billet grill. I wanted to know though if you had to cut anything out when putting on a billet grill, like do you have to cut out the stock grill or anyting like that?

some of them you do, others are put in place with zipties, when looking at them see if they say something along the lines of...Requires cutting or Removal of Stock Grill required. and i've heard that the eBay ones are sucky, but other people have said there good.

Don't go billet

Go Street Scenes:

No cutting necessary. I love mine.

I don't think we can do that on our XLS's.
The street scenes say they are for XLT's and sports only.
Although I don't know what the damn difference would be as far as the grille goes. I had figured they were all the same. (XLS, XLT, sport)

You can get them in a pack of 5 for 5 bucks at Home Depot, they're called "Gutter Guard". You get to cut them yourself to fit perfectly too.

We did it to my roomate's Corolla one night. Did my other buddy's Integra with the stuff too.

How do you get it to stay on the bumper? Adhesive?

The old gutter guard method on rangers was zip ties.

i did the gutter gaurd on my dads bumper to match the 99-01 deal behind the grill. i used zip ties.

Actually, if you do the research via Google on the Street Scenes Speed Grille, you'll see it ONLY works on some years of XLT. I have a 2000 Sport, and obviously it works fine. I think it would work on many 2nd Generation Explorers. Probably not most of the Limiteds. I think some of them have different grilles.

Where'd you get that. That is like what I want to do to mine instead of a billet grill.

eBay. They're rare. I had an automatic search set up for months and one day an email came with news of two auctions, one for the upper, and one for the lower setup. I bid and won on both. Some careful sniping got me a great deal on the set.

I've seen the setup sold at numerous places. Was too pricey for me at retail. I paid much less than retail.

I've seen similar setups to your photo on a lot of vehicles. Street Scenes is much different when you see it up close. Much beefier. I can't see my grille being easy to cut without power tools.

the gutter guard looks good on the toyota...chiesty on the X, go street scenes that's what Imma do

Zip ties are your friend. But we dshoulda used clear ones instead of black ones as you can see them sometimes if you look for them. I think I might Gutter Guard up my X this weekend...
