Hey all. I'm new to the site and it has been quite helpful and interesting. For those with billet grills, I am curious if the old stock grill shows through at all. From the pictures I've seen, I don't see the old grill at all. These are pictures though, how is it in "real life"? Also, does the old grill easily come out or does it have to be cut out? I have a white 2000 xlt 4 door 4x4.

Thanks to all that reply!

It really depend on the Grill that you get. Some require that you cut the stock grill and replace it with the billet, some are just inserts. Whether you can see the grill or not I don't know. I have never seen one that I can see the grill through so I would have to say no.

The more expensive ones require cutting the grille out because the spacing on the bars is bigger than the cheaper one. I have the one off eBay and it just installs over the stock grille. All you have to do is take off the ford emblem. The only way you can see the stock grille is if you really look for it. Normal people won't notice.

Which ebay one do you have? From what seller? I just got mine and got instructions so I was looking at it and it looks like I have to cut my old one out. Not too sure yet though.

Ya I put mine up to my truck and it definitely looks like I need to cut the old one out for mine to go on. Heres the pic from my auction on ebay.

I got mine from wee12

Well I tried to push mine over the stock grill to see if it fit in there and it didn't. Guess I have to cut ****.
