I'm getting ready to buy these from my local shop in a couple days. I plan on lowering my rear with 1" drop blocks and the front 2"-3" with the torsion untwist. How well will these shocks work on a lowered 97 sport 4x4? On there website i dont see any special ones for lowered Explorers, so i assume the normal ones will be fine. Thanks for any input.

The Bistiens will make the Explorer handle good, but the ride is a bit firm on a lowered vehicle. They are designed for the stock ride travel. When you put them on a lowered Explorer, the ride quality is a bit harsh. We are fond of the Edelbrocks because they models that are tuned for the lowered Explorer. They are firm but not to still. They are smooth but lead to great handling.

By the way if you have a lowered Explorer our X-Spec Sway Bars are a must!
