Wondering what everyone likes for 95%highway and 5%off road. And if there is any pros and cons to using these shocks.

Thanks

Ive got bilstien 5100s and they ride super nice on the road, about ten time better than my old fabtech ones.

ya i second the bilsteins... they are awesome on and off road. the bad thing about the edelbrocks are they suck offroad and are known to brake if you offroad them. thats why i went with bileteins... best of both worlds!

We only sell Bilstein with our suspension kits but, I've heard that the Edelbrocks are better for strictly highway driving. For off-road abuse the 5100 bilsteins are supposed to be better. No personal experience, just what I've heard from inside the industry. I beat the crap outta some 5100 on mine and never had a problem, jumping and all!!!

As already mentioned, the Edelbrock's are supposed to be horrible off road (with some abuse ;) ) If you want to see what an edel. looks like after serious wheelin' look up 'GJarret's' profile, he has a nice picture of a bent shaft on an edel.
However, any shock is an improvement over stock. I was/am sold on the bilstein 5100 personally, but they don't make a rear shock catalogued for the Sport Trac so I bought Old Man Emu's (OME made by ARB). Good luck with whatever choice you make.
PS; I am thrilled with the OME's I have! :)

Whoa, I replied to another post and it ended up here!!! Whoops!
