Still doing some searching....

I don't want to paint the door handles and side mirrors. Mothers' back to black works for about 6 minutes, then its' back to whitish. Any other things to try?

Most all appearance products have a limited life. For example, even 303 Aerospace Protectant will only last for a few months at a time. The most permanent solution is repainting the pieces, especially when they've progressed to the whitish, oxidized state.

repainting is the best bet, when done right you cant tell theyve been painted

I've repainted mine, I used rustoleum(spelling?), and it worked perfectly, I sanded down the mirrors, door handles, and the pieces between the front and back doors with a very light grade sandpaper, then I painted, I feel I should have used a little bondo in places on the mirrors, but I wanted to retain the factory texture to it. Hope this helps, the whole job cost me $2.59.
