I've just started researching this, but it seems like it shouldn't be too difficult, just a pain in the ass heh.

1. I just need to get a set of blocks + 'u bars' for the rear in order to drop it about the 2 inches I want...

2. Torsion twist for the front to reduce height there...

My question : Is it possible from a stock position to just adjust the torsion bar the other way? I'll need it to match the rear, of course... Need to know that there's enough room there on the bolt for this.

Other question : If I decide to do the torsion flip instead... in the sticky post about it (with all the pics/etc) it didn't say what the reason for drilling on the adjustment bar is for... Why do that? What's the point of him drilling that out? I don't have a dremel and probably won't for this, so wondering if that's an unneeded step.

ok for just two inches on the front you will be ok to just lower the torsion bars. I have a 2001 sport and I lowered the back about 2 inches with a 1" block and a 1" custom stereo drop he he he.....anyway, the torsion bar twist got me down 2-1/2"s so i think you will be ok. I just layed down on my back with the truck on a 2 ton jack and took an air ratchet and went to town. I went until the bolt came out then i put it back in for like 3 turns. drop the jack fast and it will compress the springs shocks and bars and whatever else it compresses then jack it back up and drop it again fast so it levels out quick instead of driving around for a whole day and ruining your tires. measure the wheel wells to the top center of the tires and voila! your done if it matches up. This may take two or three times. the result for me is no bolt on the left side and the right side has the bolt barely in because for some reason the truck did sit higher on the right side. good luck, and hope i answered your questions without confusing you. the notch cut out for the torsion flip is for clearance on other parts which would otherwise get in the way.

TT and blocks will work fine, am 3 rear and 2.5 front on my 03 trac, bear in mind you need an alighnment after the drop as your camber will be off.
Drop the front measure than go drive over some speed bumps, come back, measure and adjust.
The drop kits you can get at peps or AZ are total crap, the Ubolts are 3 inch I.D, you can bend them and hammer them in to fit (ghetto style), they will work to a point, the axle housing on your EX is 3.5 inch, I had some made to fit.
The cast alum blocks are also crap as they are prone to cracking, keep an eye on them, I machined solid alum block, drilled the locating pin hole, no worrys.
The aftermarket kits work to a point but for 29 bux you get what you pay for JMHO
