I know this has been covered but I cant seem to figure this out. I have a 00 mountaineer that has the auto temp controls. The fan control works sometimes, for exp: when i roll the fan all the way up and then quickly back down, the fan usually goes to low speed.. However, if I hit a bump or open the passenger side door, as I found out today, the fan will shoot back up to high. This will carry on as Im driving, high to low back to high then low, until I cant take it anymore and shut it off. I have read that these do not have the resistor but also did not see the speed control thing to the left of the glove box. Does any body have any clue as to what could possibly be wrong and maybe some pics. I tried wiggling some wires while it was running to see if it was just a loose harness but no luck. thats when i opened the door and the fan went to ful blast. lost!
