BMXking's new project: 96 V8 Explorer

Just replaced the lower ball joints tonight with Moog ones. Just made a list in the first post of what I've done to it so far so that I can keep track of how much I've spent (even though I'll probably end up not wanting to know how much I've thrown into it  )

Well I haven't updated it in a while...still forgot to take pics

Scored a Street Scenes mesh grille from somebody on ********* forum for 95 bucks. Had another cut up one layin at the shop from when I made one for an Impala, and luckily had just enough to make a bumper grille for it. Looks sick on there!!! Painted the center of the factory grille that was all faded with some stuff called "Trim Black" that we get from our paint supplier. Probably going to paint the bumper plastics with it too. Just now ordered a MAC CAI for it and will be ordering Torque Monster headers when my tax refund comes in later this week!!!!!!!!!

Alright finally took some pics. Put on new A/C lines last week and refilled my A/C since it's getting hot now. Also, I welded a bracket onto my hood latch so that I can open the hood without a screwdriver. And a couple of weeks ago I painted all my plastics black since they were just faded grey before.

Finally had a chance to do some more stuff to it. Replaced the factory blown sub with a new one and got some Accel Extreme 9000 8mm plug wires. Also I got tired of it being lowered since I still don't have wheels and my other truck is still under construction....so I decided to lift it. Built some shackles, cranked the torsion bars and put on 33x12.50r15 Maxxis Big Horns on the stock wheels. Got an awesome deal on the tires. They're brand new and only paid $240 for them!! I love the way it looks now, and it rides better in my opinion than it did before. Pics to come soon.
