GENIOUS IDEA for improving the looks on a origional body (91) explorer.... :D

I stumbled on a few pics of a mod'ed out 91 X that looked eXtreamly sweet. although the one i saw was riced out, i'd like to take the body work and hop it up a lil. here's what i found :

the front end was changed with:
02 Toyota Land Cruiser Headlights, 98 Ranger Grille, and a 98 Stillen Ranger front air dam (molded bumber front end)

The side was beefed up with Expedition lighted running boards and fender flares.
The rear had 95-ish S-10 Altezza tail lights.
The interior front is decked out nicely from new Windstar leather bucket seats. (dr & pass sides)

Does ANYONE know ANYTHING about the difficulty in fitting ANY of these parts. I just purchased a 91 XLT off of e-bay, beautiful perfect condition truck with leather interior, and the drivers seat has quite a tear on the side bolster, so i'm particularly interested in the windstar seats. plz help

That is a sweet looking 1st gen. It looks a lot more moded than you think it is. As you can figure out none of these are bolt ons and have to be custom fit. Each and everyone of them. The part I like is how wide the tires are in the front and still tucked inside the wheel well. Very nice.

That is a sweet explorer:D Looks like alot of work:D

LOTS of work. But like everyone says hard work pays off as you can see!

sweet YES VERY

but i really wanted to see if anyone here has tried any mods like this, parts b/t diff years and even b/t diff models, i previously owned a Saab 900 and was able to throw in front seats from a 9000 very easily , ofcourse this is more commonly done in the Saab world. Does anyone know if the windstar seats work  ???? HELP i'm new to the SUV's and especially new to the Fords. i'm a total chevy person, that by total mistake :banghead: fell into my saab, loved it, and have now fallen :banghead: into the X's, and am loving the possibilities.

Its probably not going to be easy, but it will look good ;)

it looks good, but it kind of reminds me of a misshapen kia
