hey,

Does anyone know if Borla headers for 91-92 Explorer 4.0 will fit in a 1994 Explorer 4.0. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

The header will bolt up. You will not be smog legal. Some '93s and all '94s have ERG emissions sensors on the exhaust manifold. I learned about this when I bought my Borla headers for my '93. Borla has two part numbers. The difference is that one has the place for the sensor.

I see... thanks

Anyone know if the headers for a '94 will bolt up to a '95?

Headers for my 94

Hey Joe,
Did you install the headers yourself? If so (or if not) what all did it take? Was it easy? How much cash flow?

I did not install the headers myself. The old exhaust manifolds are heck to get off. So, I paid way to much to just drive it home with headers.

You can do it...you will need air tools, heat and time to have your vehicle down. I would do it myself if I did it again.

PS: 91-94 Borla headers are for the OHV engin. I believe the '95 was an OHC 4.0L. Different headers I bet.

Some of the 93-94's did have an EGR and all of the 95 ups did. The 93-94 headers will not work on the 95ups even with the EGR valve provision. The 95ups have a different style EGR routing then that of the earlier 93-94. Sorry, Doug904.
