Hey, my Borla Headers should be coming pretty soon, and I'm wondering if I NEED to insulate them... I don't want something to get messed up because of them touching, but if it's not likely something will happen, I don't wanna spend the extra $50 on the tape.

Just make sure no sensitive components are touching them. This includes wires, hoses, etc. Give them about an inch if you can all the way around the pipes, more if possible. If you need to, ziptie something out of the way.

Good luck!

I would recommend against insulating them for a street/offroad vehicle. Most header manufacturers say that insulating the headers voids the warranty on the headers because it traps moisture in and accelerates corrosion. As Alec said, just keep sensitive components (like wiring) away from them.
