I have a 2004 explorer, I bought it about 6 months ago. It came with a 7 prong trailer receptacle in back, not sure if it was stock or someone put it in, but when I have my trailer attached all the lights and signals work fine, it also charges the trailer battery (18' Skyline Nomad travel trailer). I just installed a Prodigy Brake Controller and I can't get it to see the trailer. It's a brand new controller and I also bought the wiring adapter that plugs in behind the glove box. It all seemed pretty easy. I get power to the brake controller but it will not "see" the trailer. When powered up, it flashes "n.c." for about 15 seconds and then goes to ". ." The Prodigy manual says that means it doesn't see a trailer attached.
I have checked all the wiring, grounds, etc and can't find anything obvious.
Anyone have any ideas for me? Greatly appreciated!
