I was out and about in the Land of Sun & Sand when I was going to stop at a light. The I pressed the pedal and it felt as if it was sliding on metal. I had to really get on it to stop.

The pedal was kind of weak and then it stopped (the pedal not the truck) and it started again the whole time I was trying to stop. It kind of felt really weird. Like it was going to give and catch then slide some more. The truck didn't slide but the pedal felt as if it had. Any ideas?

Sounds like you're losing vacuum on the booster... could be a cracked vacuum line, or a bad diaphragm in the booster. Check the lines first.

That's my best guess.

When you say "weak," do you mean weak as in easy to push (goes to floor) or weak as in no matter how hard I push the brakes won't work? If you said yes to "goes to floor" it sounds like you may have a faulty ABS control valve or master cylinder. If its because they "wont work," listen to Joe and start looking for a vacuum leak.
