Difficulty changing spark plugs

As far as brand and prices? I picked up new Splitfire wires for about $50.00 with a coupon (yeah!) for $15.00 off if I go with their spark plugs so I did anyway. I think it works better this way, same brand spark plugs and wires. The whole set-up ran me about $80.00

Good luck.

PS I have 95k miles on my rig and never thought about changing anything,,,,,

remember the old saying? If it ain't broken, don't fix it??
it should be, fix it before you brake down.

Just to be safe, when you reset your computer, I would disconnect BOTH the negative and positive cables.

Your manual might say to let it sit for 30 minutes like that, but a Ford tech told me they prefer to leave it disconnected overnight to clear things out. After you reconnect, let it idle for a few minutes--but THEN you must go out and drive it fairly hard through a full range of driving conditions (town, then highway) for 10-15 minutes to really let the computer re-learn things.

Couple of tips picked up here a while ago that worked for me. Got a can of compressed air from Radio Shack to blow the dirt out of the recessed plug area. And a18" long piece of rubber tubing to fit over the end of the spark plug to thread it into the engine. Real hard to cross thread it that way.
I think I used a set of channel locks to get one wire off.
That yellow plug wire remover doesnt work and yes I bought one.

cannot get the wire out of the clip!!

I am in the process of changing my plugs and wires. My problem is that I cannot get the plug out of the clip on the valve cover on the front driver's side. There is a metal tube going from the upper intake to the exhaust and it is in the way. It is pushed right up against the wire and clip with no room to pull the wire out of the clip. I'm afraid to pull too hard on the tube because I'm afraid I'll break the plastic intake. What to do?
