Trying to find out what's going on with my brakes. I push on the pedal and get a hesitation and crunching noise, metal on metal sounding. Last summer I replaced the front differential, drive shafts and bearings (to fix other issues). This weekend I replaced the caliper, brake pads and rotors trying to fix this noise. Still have the noise. Only hear the sound when brake is pressed, sounds like left front. You can feel the crunching/grinding in the pedal. It has an on again off again feel like a warped rotor, but the rotor is brand new. Any ideas? - Thanks.

Double check your installation, the two bolts holding the caliper housing will come loose. I would use thread lock to keep them holding onto the calipers.

Thanks, but this was immediately after install. Still making noise a half a block from the house. Should not have come loose that quickly.

Okay, I pulled the ABS fuse and the issues stopped. So, it looks like an ABS issue. Add that to the info above... any ideas on which ABS part is bad?
