- 2002 Mercury Mountaineer
Found this forum via googling a burning oil smell for my 2002 Mountaineer when I first get it underway. Smell goes away after its warmed up.
Otherwise, right now, Mountaineer is running well and still looking pretty good at 195,000 miles. Specs 4.0 Litre SOHC 6 cylinder AWD 5 speed auto trans. Have had a number of issues and stuff replaced since buying is used with about 20,000 miles on it. But its a good ride and I need it to keep going because I can't afford to replace it.
