My brake lights are not works but turn signals and rear lights are. Also the brake light on the rear window does come on. I have looked at fuses but have not found any that needs to be replaced. I have replaced the bulbs but the old ones look in perfect order and the new ones act the same.

Does anyone know what I have missed, fuse or relay?

it could be the brake light switch. it's located above the brake pedal itself. you can do a search and you'll find tons of stuff on this. hope this helps.

It turned out to be the electrical connection to the brake light switch.

Hi...I am having the same exact problem...when you mean the brake light switch...do you mean something was lose? I am not sure where it is...can you give more detail as it sounds like the same thing.
Thanks
Barry

it's actually connected to the brake pedal. it's up higher on the brake pedal shaft, you have to sorta get on your back to get at it. it either comes loose or needs to be replaced. it's not expensive from ford.

It was the electrical contact to the brake switch. There were several burnt out posts so it wasn't sending out the right signals to the brake lights. I didn't do the actual work on it, I took it to the Ford dealer ship. They had the right part and it was very resonable in cost.
