I've read that you can make f-350 brake lines from the early 2000's super duty's work and that they are quite a bit longer than our stock lines

sweet ill have to look into it either that or make my own my boss has a brake flairing tool so im thinking maybe cutting the hard line at the shock tower and putting a female end on it then flairing it, so that i can use the lines i have or have some made for cheaper than the pro comp lines.

There are a few threads around about that, including that block on the 91 and 92's.

One of my brake line sets has a nice block from some company, but I have never been able to find it again.

I've seen others use a brass block (kinda big).

I've made one set of brake lines for Cybergasm and I took the factory brake line, cut the hard part of the flex line flush with the block, tapped it for 1/8" npt and then put on a 1/8" npt to brake line fitting. I know your not supposed to use npt on brake lines, but I saw it done on other vehicles and the speed shop I go to also does it. Heck, Earles sells it (division of holley that makes brake hoses).

So far, its holding up for him and I'd guess its upwards of 2 years old by now.

Check some of your local places that deal with hydraulics. I was able to get some lines made to custom length and pressure tested for less than the OEM ones cost.

I cut out some aluminum brackets and relocated the line mounts. It takes slow patience to reform the lines to the new bracket, but if you're careful and slow there's enough extra hard line to make the trip.

The driver's side with the dual line dohicky made the trip fine too, BTW.

My X is a '92, with 6" Skyjacker lift in front, and a SOA in rear.

Also, I bought lines for a F250 Super Duty to use - they will work - but I never did install them.
NAPA Part# 381184 for the drivers side, NAPA Part# 381186 for the passenger side. The driver side F250 line does have the "dual line dohicky" too.

Let us know how ya go, and how it worked for ya!

I can jack my truck up by the frame until the tire is off the ground, turn the wheels lock to lock, and have no problems at all. (I checked! Twice! Both wheels! Brakes are important! :) )

Honestly my stock lines are aged and do need replacing soon. In the midst of that I'd read on this forum about the bracket trick and decided to try it "just because". heh. For $2 I sure didnt go wrong!

Hellz no! im gonna try it out tomorro, im ready to do my lift but last weekend I cracked a rib and aint in any condition to do it this weekend which really pisses me off bcuz i was going to Heep Safari next weekend:mad: oh well dpending on how i feel later this weekend maybe I can get it done bfore next friday.

So I ordered the ford brake lines or rather the drivers side bcuz the passenger line I have will work, wont be puttin the lift on till this weekend so ill let you guys know how it works out.
