:us:I went to get my exploder inspected, I found out i need to replace the main brake line from the front to the back, due to a little rust on it. (the long one)

Anybody ever have to do this? I can't find a replacement, so I was told i had to bend it, which is ok, but then I had to find the size of the tube. HELP! anyone know what to do? thanks.

You will need to bend it yourself and most likely will need to get 2 pieces and join them together. I believe it is 5/16" line, but the easiest way is to get one of the ends off and match it up at an auto store. While you are at it, you should look at the line that runs across the rear axel as they rust out as well. Keep in mind that you will need to bleed the system, so you should soaking the bleeder screws with PB Blaster. If you break the bleeders off, you will be replacing the wheel cylinders as well.

I replaced mine about a year ago.... let me tell you, it wasn't fun. I managed to use one piece of line the whole way back. I had to move the gas tank over a little bit to make the job a little bit easier. I unrolled the line and fed it from the rear of the vehicle up through. Good Luck!

cool

:us:Thanks guys, i can see i have my work cut out for me. You have been ALOT of help. Thanks.

If this is a 93 with front ABS don't forget the adapter needed up at the ABS assembly. It won't take the standard 5/16 flare nut.

we did mine from the ABS (need adapter) all the way back, it took two lines and a connector. ran me like 25.00 for both lines, adapter, connector and brake fluid, didnt have to move anything, bent my self carefully, good luck.
