I have a '98 explorer sport with 91000 miles and been having this front brake problem for a while now. The veicle doesn't stop for crap. I replaced the rotors and pads 4 months ago. It is time for new calipers or is it something else?

Does the pedal feel spongy?

The pedal is a little spongy, bleeding the brakes was the next thing on my to do list

Your ABS unit could be going south, has your abs light been on at all?

also i was wondering how to put disc brakes in the rear

Similar to the front, but you may have to retract the parking brake shoes to get the rotor off. You don't need any special tools.

If I were you, I would service the back calipers/pads/rotors and bleed the brakes right after. Also check carefully for any tiny leaks.
