Brake relay clicking on 2002?

Ok.... I brought the car in to the mechanic for a clicking sound i hear comiung from the glove box area when i depressed the brake pedal. The mechanic claims that it is perfectly normal and is jsut the brake relay;however, i have never heard this sound before and I am pretty sure I would ahve picked up on it. DO any of you wiht 2002 explorers hear a clicking sound when you depress the brake pedal. If not, does this mean that my brake relay is going bad if I hear a clicking sound?

I do not have the towing package, and I only started to notice it after i put the car in reverse while driving forward. DO you think its related?

don't worry i'm not going to ask why you put it in reverse while going forward.

in my '02 4x4 ex w tow pack, i have never heard this noise you describe.
