Brake Rotors

That happened to me. I could only do the back and had to leave for vacation.

At least they have good customer service. The guys are always nice. So that a good thing.

I have not made any demands or anything. I just want my rotors..LOL.

I won't bad mouth them, just state what happened. At least they own up mistakes made by others.

I will see on in a couple of days. The last guy "Long"
helped me and he was very kewl.

I don't like having to wait for time off, jack up my car, pull everything off, and not be able to do anything because I have the wrong parts.

I just want rotors and pads that fit my truck

here are my latest set with tooling marks on the rotor.
I am gonna call them.and it will be round 5 for whatever they send next.
Thats 8 rotors sent for the front so far.

You know, looking at your pics of the latest rotors they sent it appears as though they were not machined properly. Look at this:

Do you see that "cross-hatching" pattern on the rotor where the pad makes contact? Your pictures look like the surface is either smooth like it was turned but never "roughed-up"...or am I crazy?

pretty impressed on all of the problems you guys have had w/ them.
I got them on my fathers 01 sport and they are fine. i made the mistake of not buying new pads and use the crappy pads they send.
other than that they are real good

My front set were definitely not machined properly. My rear set had that pattern and NONE of the sets they sent for the front so far has had them. MY rear set were perfect. Absolutely great work. I still have the machined surface on it. Its is weathering my ceramic pads perfectly and braking has improved with just the back set.

Again I have not made any stink about it. someone is not doing their job and customer service is trying to make good on it. EVEN though its been a insane amount of rotors sent to me...LOL.

As long as this set is good then I am happy. I won't put anything but what they advertised on my truck. I think if for some Bizzaro World reason this set is bad then they need to refund me some money and send me a another set.

Which ones did you order, their website is somewhat confusing on which to order... 95-01 explorer or just the sport-sport trac?

I have an 01' sport which is why I'm asking.

I ordered mine form ebay and they say to specify your vehicle, make, model, 2 or 4 door. The more information you put the better.
So you will specify all of your information and SPORT.

Best thing to do is call them before you order.

I actually ended up calling them and had them cancel my order. I ordered another one and specified I wanted them slotted only and zinc platted, they kept saying drilled but I think they got it after I told them why I didn't want them slotted. They have great customer service. I talked to Steve there, he was helpful, they answered the phone after they were closed. Lets hope everything turns out alright.

UGGH!!!!

I received a package from R1 today. 2 new rotors, the rear one looks fine this time, but the front one is still messed up!

Oh, and they forgot to send the correct pads.

So back on the phone with them, this time I talked to Tony. He was going to send out new again...

I have to wait at least another week now!

I hope this next one is good or I'm not going to be as nice on the phone as I've been.

I know it's not the guys I talk too's fault, but this isn't cool.

sorry to hear that.

Well i got my 5th set for the front this time.
No good. had to use left one from 4th set and right one from 5th set.
I had to do it, because this was taking too long. It was a nightmare. I hate that I had to settle and not the the quality of the rear set. They have lost my business for good. I had buddies that were looking for rotors, but I will not promote this company.

After a while you can't keep excusing these mistakes, mess ups and whatever else you wanna call it.
