My brother-in-law bought a sport trac on my strong recommendation. Previously he's just had import vehicles. He needed a vehicle that could carry his tools, since he's an engineer.
With less than 10,000 miles on it, it's had to be towed twice back to the dealer. The current problem is horrible shifting resulting from the fact that it won't go over 3,000 rpm even when the accelerator is floored. This was documented by a mechanic at the dealership. They've called the Detroit people on this problem, my question is has anyone else run into this before on either a sport trac or an explorer?
He's got the 4.0 with the 4.10 limited slip rear axle package.
Thanks everyone!
