Does anyone have any specific recommendations on "breaking in" a new clutch? I've heard it mentioned, but never anything specific. Also, has anyone ever had any oil in with the fluid in their clutch master cylinder? That's what the mechanic's telling me ... What could cause it?

You really don't have to "break in" a clutch. Should work fine out the door. As for having oil in the clutch fluid, it could be that someone used the wrong fluid to top off the clutch cylinder.

I got a CenterForce dual friction clutch. 300 Miles ago. It had a big orange warning card on how to break in that clutch. It said I had to shift all gears the first 600 miles below 3K RPM, & to avoid HW driving, & driving over 3K RPM. Of course that was this performanc clutch. I did that the first 100 miles, & I'm still doing it, but I need to drive HW to get to work. So far it's fine.
