For your dash lights?

"Brightest" and "Blue" are opposing objectives. The lower the "K" rating of a bulb, the more useful light. The higher the "K" rating, the more blue they get.

Blue bulbs serve little purpose other than saying 'look at me". No surprise that OEM HID lighting on higher end vehicles are 4300K. People looking for blue lights want 6000-8000K. I've known of people with blue lights that say they're almost blind with blue lights during rainy, overcast conditions.

If you're looking for HIDs, why buy second hand? Kits have come down in price so much. If you're going to waste your money on blue tinted halogen bulbs, you'll be sorely disappointed at how bad the lighting really is once you get over the novelty of having a bulb more at home on a ricer Honda than an Explorer.

I say find yourself a HID kit and settle on 4300K to 5000K bulbs. 6000K is the hightest K rating you should consider if "blue" is so critical.

The thing is now I have 4000k sylvania silverstars in but they don't light anything up even when compared to a no name set I found on eBay which are meant to be "blue"

Also besides heaadlights is there a light bar I can get with 2 to 4 lights for cheap?

I have some regular 9004 Phillips Ultra Vision bulbs, supposed to be brighter, better, and a tint of blue, theyre fine at night, clear, etc, but when its rainy or theres cars in the opposite direction, you might as well put a pair of sunglasses on cus you cant see ****!

And theyre not blue at all, during the day, they give the headlight a cool blue reflection when theyre off, but at night they just dont look so yellowish, not blue at all.

Im saving up for the 600k HIDs, maybe one "K" lower.

I have a similar problem with mine.there supposed to be pure white Nd light up further distances but stock lights were better by far

Yeah, these are probably a little better than stock, but idk when its rainy or theres cars coming and no street lights, its like turning them off basically it sucks.

I just started my 6.15$ /hr, 12 hrs a week job lmao so ill be getting the HID kit .......soon

i hope lol

How much is the hid conversion generally?

im half tempted for now, to go back out to meijers and get the phillips performance series or something, supposedly up to 50% more light at night

Ive seen them for about 200$ maybe a little more for a real good name brand kit

Yikes dude minimum wage here is 7.25 haha

lmao i know, im just a bagger at krogers, so im not sure if the min. wage for minors is different, cus i could have sworn its a little less, im pretty sure its 7.25 here too but im only 16

Yeah in Nh it's 725 for everyone I'm the same age but I guess I can't talk because I work for my dad at 9 an hour under the table haha

those are extremely briight. im hooked

I had a set of Bioloight bulbs on my 97 explorer. They were great. I could see so much better at night, and they look "blue" to passing cars. Our shop stopped carrying them. I had to switch to another brand (Due to a deer accident). I will not even name the new brand because they are so terrible, and have had nothing but problems with them. (Even with a bigger wire harness, they fry)
