- 2001 ford explorer sport
My friend, his dad and I were attempting to (in hindsight out of complete stupidity) to change the spark plugs on my 2001 explorer. We were trying to do the left ones which are best accessed through the wheel well. While trying to do that the rachet got stuck ona vaccuum hose and snapped it right after a connector. And than another broke in the middle. After I got 4 out of 6 plugs done(I gave up and am going to let a mechanic do the last 2 that are a pain to get to.) but its running well. But my air only comes out of the window defroster and it doesn't get warm. We tried putting some shrink wiring cover onto originally but obviously that's not right so how should we go about trying to fix these 2 hoses?
I'm going to a junk yard tomorrow so Im going to get a new connector with a few inches of hose on it to replace the connector. But to connect the broken one can we get a rubber hose that the old
One slides into and clamp it on? Thanks.
