My friend, his dad and I were attempting to (in hindsight out of complete stupidity) to change the spark plugs on my 2001 explorer. We were trying to do the left ones which are best accessed through the wheel well. While trying to do that the rachet got stuck ona vaccuum hose and snapped it right after a connector. And than another broke in the middle. After I got 4 out of 6 plugs done(I gave up and am going to let a mechanic do the last 2 that are a pain to get to.) but its running well. But my air only comes out of the window defroster and it doesn't get warm. We tried putting some shrink wiring cover onto originally but obviously that's not right so how should we go about trying to fix these 2 hoses?

I'm going to a junk yard tomorrow so Im going to get a new connector with a few inches of hose on it to replace the connector. But to connect the broken one can we get a rubber hose that the old
One slides into and clamp it on? Thanks.

just take some rubber hose and put both ends in making sure the plastic ends are touching and it should work, had same issue with vac line to my vac reservoir did that trick and voila air blowing out all the vents again

I figured but I wanted to make sure that I didn't have to do anything else to get it going. Those passenger side spark plugs are awful.

i do the passenger side from inside the wheelwell,, just take off the splash shield,, the back one i do from underneath,,

it's way easier and you can look right at the plugs,,

That's what we were doing but the front plug didn't want to start backing out, were thinking it was cross threaded from when they were changed by the last owner, and I need a few other things done at a shop so I'll get them done there. And once I get the vacuum lines fixed I just have to wait for warmer weather and i can put in new body mount bushings to replace the non existent ones i have now. I hate this truck.
