- 95 Ranger
Hey,
The brand new Warn manual locking hubs that I put on broke. I need to know if there is something wrong with my truck or my hub.
I just bought a 95 Ranger that came with the Automatic locking hubs already taken off, but no manual hubs installed. I got the spindle nut conversion kit and put on the manual locking hubs.
I literally had not driven 3 feet when the driver's side hub broke. about a third of it just busted off the end!
The parts store has offered to replace it on warranty but I'm nervous that it is something wrong with my 4x4 and that it will just break the new ones. I'm a student with four kids and I can't afford to pay for a second set of these. The guy I bought it from has consistently lied to me (even after purchase) so he is no help at all.
Have you ever seen this before? Is there any way that the problem is my truck and not faulty hubs?
Thank you so much for your help!
