I did this mod about three weeks ago and I thought it was fine until I put it into 4wd for off roading. It did NOT engage with the switch off. I figured it must have been a loose wire or something. I double Checked the wires and the switch and everything was fine. I figured it must have been the switch so i just bypassed the switch and conected the two wires like it would be stock. STILL wouldnt go into 4wd. 4wd switch on the instrument cluster lights up and everything however when floored only the rear wheels spin.

I need your help guys.

Just a suggestion, you might wanna try posting a reply in the brown wire mod thread. It will send out replys to everyone who has posted in it, so you might get a better response.

wount let me post on the main thread

I suspect you have a bad connection somewhere in one of those connectors. You will need to leave the brown wire mod switch in the on position for the 4wd to work when it's hooked up properly.

If nothing else, you'll want to check for power at the wire coming from the TOD relay with the ignition turned on. The voltage will be low (somewhere around 4-6V IIRC) unless the vehicle is moving, but there should be some power there.

If there's no power at that connection, we can start chasing wires and fuses from there. :)

works fine now i just rewired it with a different 14 gauge wire... odd haha thanks for the help
