Which brushguard are you looking at? Chrome or black?

the chrome one at the bottom of the Brushguard page. it costs like 260 i think

Yeah, I was wondering if the black 'deluxe brush guard' #WS351145 (the $200 one) could be retrofitted to my '99 as well. And are these the type that you assemble the entire guard or is the center section one piece and you bolt on the brush guards?

Oh, and are there light tabs or any way to mount lights to the guard?

Oh, and one more thing... how exactly do these mount to the bumper? Do they mount like the bumper thumpers which actually have brackets that mount to the frame, or do they somehow mount the the bumper mount brackets?

Here's the bumper thumper mount...

Blast, apparantly it won't work due to the differences in the bumpers between the '98's and '99s... But then there's one that works for the 01+ ... Us '99-00 guys are always screwed. We get the best lookin' bumper (IMO) and no accessories for it :(

does anyone know any other sites to get a brushgaurd? i do not intend to pay nearly 500 for it, and i am DEFFINATLY not paying 500 for it if i see one that looks better for cheaper.

The cheapest alternative (what I'll prolly end up getting) is a Smittybuild Bumper Thumper.

check summitracing.com or rockymountainsuspension.com

They have some of the best prices that I've found during my search.

You can also get other grille guards for like $360-400 if you just search for the type that you're looking for. But shipping will be no fun. Check with your local Advance or AutoZone. By the time you count shipping, they should be pretty close to online prices.

Hokie, I have a manik 4x4 brushguard on my 99

thats what i want, except i want all chrome, and no lights

I am sorry to say that none of our vendors carry a chrome brush guard for the 1999-2001. The bumper and frame is different on the 1999. You could have the Sportman Grillguard (#WS00105 $399.95) done at a chrome shop, but it would be expensive. The Sportsman is very similar to the Manik.

Do they carry chrome guards for 95-97s?
