I can't recall, was there any years Explorers came with chrome door handles? Since I'm installing fiberglass and painting the X, my wife thought we should get chrome door handles or get them chromed. I removed the door handles but it looks like it would be a pain to try and chrome because they are riveted to the hinges. Thanks for looking...

Were you able to get and chrome handles from the Ranger to fit the Explorer? I want to put chrome handles on my truck and after searching the net I have yet to find any that fit my vehicle. I drive a '96 XLT.

I haven't found anything that would fit. To be honest with ya, after a few weeks from that post I quit trying. I'm still working on the fiberglass.

Thanks Stephen, I'll have to look into that. If/when I figure out something, I'll post here as well.
