alright so a little backround. my power door locks havent worked since i bought my vehicle. when i hit the switches nothing happens no noise nothing. i opened up my drivers side door panel and i think i have found the actuator and it looks a mess. but one of my questions is how do i get to it? my haynes says to keep the window in the down position when removing the panel. i tried searching for this on the threads and havent found anything that really helps me out. i would love any and all advice from you guys

GA,

I can tell you from experience, you don't have to have the window down to pull the door panel. I can't actually recall ever having one down when I did.
Because, normally what I'm wanting to get to is inside the door and the window would block access.

I'm trying to recall... I had one of mine that wouldn't lock.
Discovered the locking module had actually been removed.
Best I remember, it's held in place with a rivet - the one you'll see about midway down the door, near the striker mechanism.
Had to find a bolt, nut, and washers to install the replacement I bought from AZ.
(Someone had really butchered the door up trying to take the old one out.)
I even had to run by the salvage yard and get a replacement bracket, since the original one was long gone and the module didn't come with one.

Good luck with it. Holler if I can help in any other way.

what im really confused about is none of them work. which leads me to believe its something in the wiring, or could all 5 of my actuators(rear hatch included) be busted. any thoughts or opinions would be greatly appreciated

If the one in your driver's door is a mess, you think it might have shorted out and blew the fuse?

Just an idea.

Highly unlikely that all five actuators would be bad.
Probably not getting power for some reason.

alright so i checked the fuse and it seems fine. just to be sure im not missing one. from front of car to back i have 3 fuses one space and then the rest. im under the impression that is because i dont have power seats. but id hate for the problem just to be a fuse in the wrong location. so all 5 locks dont lock. fuse is fine. any ideas really scratching my head on this one

alright little update. opened up my drivers side panel. took my multimeter and read what the pink with green tracer and black with grey piping were reading registered about 12.4 to 12.5 and when i clicked the lock button it would dip either really far down or to 10 volts or so. so im getting power to the switch. what else can i do to troubleshoot this problem, i refuse to think i have five broken actuators

Are you certain the switches themselve are okay? There are some tutorials on youtube on how to take them apart and clean them. Especially since none of your actuators seem to respond...

so i opened up my driver side kickpanel and realized the previous owner had sloppily connected the pink/yellow and pink/green wires. they had come apart over time. i reconnected them and now my pass side switch will unlock but not lock. can anyone tell me if the pass side switch unlocks the drivers side door too? if anyone has any ideas im more then open to hearing them.

The passenger side power door lock switch is intended to actuate all locks.

If there's a voltage drop when you hit the switch, it's sending power to the actuators. If they're not moving though... try removing an actuator or unhooking it, and see if it will operate without any physical load on it. If power is getting to the actuator but the actuator's not moving, the actuator is probably bad. It happens.

Currently my passenger, drivers and rear hatch unlock switches work, but I have to use the rear hatch to lock all doors. I've been lazy as far as trying to figure out the problem.
