Busted warrior u-bolt skid plate - how do i fix it?

Check out the crack in this image!!!

(its right at the point on the left where the u-bolt plate turnes down to meet the skid plate welded at the bottom.)

what did I do wrong?
did I over tighten the u- bolts or what?
i set them to 150LBS torque. drove the truck for 4000 miles, went off road 3 or 4 times, and now while mounting my hitch i find this. its kinda scary, any input would be greatly appreciated!!!

These are the same warrior skid plates that ld50 is using.

Yep, weld it. But I think those bolts only get 80ft lbs. That's what I give mine at least.
 






See above posts for advice on what to do. You definitely overtorqued 'em. Torque spec is 88-108 ft-lbs for the U-Bolt nuts. You might wanna check your U-Bolts too to see if you elongated them when you overtorqued them
 






DOH.. :eek: 80 ft lbs :eek: , thats the last time i listen to 4wheelparts.
