How much do you think a 4:10 8.8 rear axle and dana 35 front axle would go for?

I want 4:10 gears but I heard it is cheaper to buy the axles themselves rather than have them installed by a shop?....

Is installing gears yourself hard?

Ok...never mind found a thread http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=144780

looks like I wont be able to do it myself

at my local junkyards I can usually pull axles fro under $200

they actually have a 98 sport with 4.10 gears and I thought about pulling the axles, if its there when the weather warms I might still do so

Just for future reference, you can check all the junkyards near you for anything, from the comfort of your armchair!! www.car-part.com
I have this handy little gem saved in my favorites
