This code just came up as a CEL in my 03. Is it still the same thing.

No, the CEL codes mean different things. Google that code putting "CEL" in the search. It has something to do with emissions.

This is the second time now I have had this problem..have to go and buy another switch...as is mentioned, it looks as if this is a manufacturing defect..I guess i will have to be changing a lot of these for the life of my vehicle. Does it matter where you get the part from, or are they all made equally bad! thanks!

I changed my sensor out 3 times. Each lasted one month to a year. So far this last one seems to be working fine. One thing I noticed the last time was that I left aprx 1/8in. of air between fluid level and bottom of sensor. Maybe fluid was shorting sensors or they were factory faulty, but this last one seems to be working fine so far.

JR now that you mention it, I did change my brakes and backed off the pad with a c clamp.

I need to change mine out.. lol.. I've having the same problem
Im having same problem since doing my brakes...
