Ok - the 31's fit fine - here is the problem... The alignment shop can not get the front end to align correctly. They also can't find camber bushings that will work. I don't mind adding a small lift (1.5"), but I am afraid that will only compound the problem. Can anyone give me some advice? What have you all done when lifting and adding larger tires to get the front end to align right? The shop ordered the camber kits and they tell me they aren't getting the adjustment they need.

Hi Jon,

Sounds like they are jerking your chain. I used the south Tire Kingdom on Del Prado (near CC Pkwy.) They had more than enough shims in stock to sort out my alignment at stock, 1" lift and came in really close at the 2" lift.

Let me know how it goes.

I agree - try a different place. I got tired of the el-cheapo places that charge too much for an alignment (ie, Goodyear, Big-O), and just started calling up the local frame/alignment shops.

My only concern is you don't have the adjustable camber bushings, and that shop didn't have the brains to know about them.

Hey guys,
Ok - I got the scoop...
The shop bought the adjustable bushings... In fact, the girl at the counter was a parts salesperson at NAPA for about 10 years. Anyhow, she ordered the right parts. The tech on the job (and her ex husband!) was in a pissy mood today and took it out on my truck! Moral of the story? Don't get work done when there is a real life soap opera going on at the shop<G>. Anyhow, job is done - after they panicked me a bit...

Hey Jon,

That's the price we pay for living in a small town..

Glad it worked out.
