Camber shims from Skyjacker

My camber is maxed out and I went to my 4x4 shop and we discussed it. He looked in his book and said ya know Skyjacker makes a 3+ camber shim for the 4wd 83-88 Ranger and it is the same one as the Bronco II. Apparently they have used some from F100 and F250's on Explorers in the past. We went ahead and ordered it and next week we will see if they work.

Has anyone had any experience with a larger Skyjacker camber shim like this??

I haven't but I think talked to you a little while ago about chamber shims. I'm guessing this might fix the / \ tire problem? Let me know how it works out for you. I was planning on getting some coil seats this weekend but I might hold off and see how this works for you.

I have some F-150 coil seats brand new that I never used. I ended up buying a different type of coil spacer instead. Let me know if you want to buy them.
I actually just installed them on Saturday and got it alligned today. They ended up not even needing the new camber shims. I guess it just all depends on the certain vehicle. I know that Carquest sells the camber shims. The part number for the 2.75 degree is K8983 but I'm not sure what the 3.0 degree number is. They are Moog brand so they're a little more expensive but the best.

You might want to check your coil height. Mine settled too much and threw my camber way off. I could throw some spacers in and correct the camber but I still want some additional adjustment for future.

biggs, how much are you wanting for the coil seats? And also, where exatcly are the chamber located?

Be careful here.....a 3 degree camber shim is only 2.25 degrees in a 4x4.....just because it says 3 degree doesnt mean it is.
the largest I have found for the 4x4 D35 TTB is the moog 2.75 degree shim wich should work find for your application.

Superlift used to make an adjustable shim that claimed 3 degrees, but I have never seen these.

Also your ball joint life will suffer the larger the shim....

Hmmm interesting I wasn't aware that there was a 2 wheel drive Bronco II. These camber shims are for a bronco II 4x4.

If Skyjacker makes a 3 degree shim for the 4x4 I want some!!!

Actually I have a shim collection now, I am back to 2 degree shims with my new setup..............thank goodness!!! I cant afford more tires!

Ouch that's tough on the wallet!!

Well I will know next week when they come in.

Since my rear is still riding 3/4"-1" higher than the front I can always add some spacers to the front and that will give me some additional camber adjustment. I may just add a spacer and see how it affects the camber.

I am trying to understand this. I need to go higher because my camber bushing is maxed out or get a bushing with more camber adjustment, but then I have to worry about ball joints going faster.

Maybe I should get a set of 8" coils and add shackles to the rear. Is anyone running this set up that you know of?
