Can anyone identify this connector? is it important?

Can anyone identify this electric connector? I cant tell if thats a senor in it or just a plug. Its located between the grille and the firewall, the headlight bucket is that thing in the right of the pic. Any ideas :help:

If you don't have stock fogs, it could be an unused connector for those?
 












its the temp. gauge for your outside temp. unit in the roof mounted control.

i wondered what it was too when i saw it, but a friend that used to work for ford told me.

Hmmmm, so someone could wire this sensor into their intake and watch their IAT's... hmmmmm
