Can coil lose spark at a single plug?

2000 4.0 OHV. Is it possible for this coil to lose spark at one terminal only? I ask because I appeared to lose spark at one plug, then it starting working again. The plugs are new and I tested it with another wire. With it running and using a jumper I could not get a spark to jump to ground. Can this coil fail on one terminal and one only. I know that some cars they fail in pairs.
 






Yes, the coil-pack uses separate windings to achieve the output voltage at each terminal, so it's possible your coil-pack is back. You need to check the resistance to ground, each output terminal should have approx. the same resistance to ground
 






Bad thing is that it is intermittent but thank you for the information!
