Can I remove my emblems?

Hey all, I want to remove the emblems from my '97.

I want to remove "Explorer XLT" and the blue oval from the rear hatch and also the "V8 All Wheel Drive" emblems on the front fenders.

Are there any holes in the body for alignment pins from any of these emblems? Or will the body be smooth and "hole free" afterwards?

I only ask because after I removed the blue oval from my Supercoupe I was suprised by two holes in the trunk lid that align the emblem... then I had to reattach it.

i removed some of the emblums off of my 2000 X sport and they didn't have any holes. i know the explorer and XLT will just come off but I have no idea on the shield...

\/ i pulled my explorer off and there wern't any holes...

The fenders have no holes in them, ther should be two in the Explorer emblem.

I did search before posting, but I only searched the 95-01 forum instead of searching everything. I guess I'll leave my search preferences more "open" next time. :
