Can you bypass speaker amp & keep sub?

Hi,

I have a 94 with the JBL system and i was wondering if i could install a new head unit and bypass the speaker amp but keep using the factory sub.

Yes it can be done. You will need a converter to go from your RCA output to a level that the factory amp can except. I use either a Vendetta from Peripheral or a converter from Soundgate.
