Is it part of your steering shaft? Where it connects to the rack? :D

lol i wish, unfortunantly its a bit more expensive than that. :)

It's not the driveshaft, i wish it where that as well, that'd be easier to replace.

obviously a gear of some kind. Maybe for your 4WD drive shaft? Transmission?

Dane

Output Shaft! on the transmission.

Yeah I'm thinkin axle shaft too.

Any pics of what you were doin before you snapped it??

Looks like the passenger's side inner axle half on the front axle of a vacuum disconnect 96 Explorer axle....

If it is, I have a good one sitting in my shed......

I suppose the winner would have to be SVO, It is the transmission output shaft and yes i do have pics of what i was doing when i snapped it. Though theyre nothing spetacular just me trying to do a line lock in the sand...

WHoo Hooo, and man that sucks Doug! :(

I'm sorry to hear that, more labor than money though, good luck on getting her back in action soon.

I have a spare transmission in the garage i hope i can just swap out the output shafts. I'm gonna crack open my extra one tomorrow and see what it takes to get it out.

I hope it's not too hard a job for you and you get it fixed soon. :(

By the way, I like the little quote, "I break things"

Prophetic are we? :D
