DH has a 95 Ranger w/4.0l motor, and a bit of a puzzler.

The line that vents the fuel tank and runs to the evap canister; where does it enter the engine compartment? We have one hose that runs from the canister to the throttle body, and the second hose runs to a rusted chunk of broken line and hangs in thin air. Where do we find the rest of this rusted, broken line so that we can replace it?

Thanks,

Ok, found it. It runs with the fuel delivery and return lines. So, it enters the engine compartment directly under the brake master cylinder -- with the two metal braid lines.

Next to the fuel filter, the metal vent line connects to rubber hose. So, if the line rusts, you only have to replace back to the fuel filter area. I'm thinking about running a hose from the canister to the fuel filter area, and use just a small length of metal line. Should be easier.

HTH,
