weeeeeeeeeeeeeeell, it appears evil is up to her old tricks again. when i did the motor swap, i had to use the donor key, and ignition switch for the pats to work. not long after i finished everything, one night (one cold night at a gas station i might add), i couldn't get it to start, because the switch would not go forward enough. after solving that problem (by some how moving the switch in the column ahead), now i have the reverse problem. i came home from a short drive, and couldn't turn the switch (or tumbler, which ever you want to call it) far enough back to shut it off, as well, as i i can't push the little button under the column to release the tumbler. when i had the original tumbler in there, i never had a problem with it. i do plan on turning the pats off once i get a program for it, but until then i have to use the donor tumbler, and key. anyone have any suggestions, other there a big hammer, and lots of swearing?

Make sure all of the little torx bolts on the shifter lever are tight-it could be the transmission lock hanging up.

I moved this from the 911 sub forum to the 2nd gen forum, you'll get better help.

Did you ever get this figured out tim?

um.....sorta.....kinda....but not really.

EDIT

should add a little more then just leave it as above. i was able to "move" the tumbler a little, so now it turns off, starts, and gives the keys back. every now and then however, i can feel it trying to hung up, and not want to move.
