I have read on BON that when the new Blackberry os system is released it will also be released for previous MFT vehicles. There was also discussion of a significant upgrade this year and this may be the upgrade that they were referring to.

So what does everyone think about the news today on CarPlay?......I see Ford is in the "Future offerings on committed partners" category.

Ive seen one that is a ford part and can be installed looks like it's about 2-3k to do it and it'd fit my car but i'm thinking I'm stuck with myford touch. If I am, will they keep updating it or do I have what I have and that's the best I get.
Probably the only functionality I was really excited to get was maps and traffic since the traffic on XM Sirius is so behind the curve the rest of it I can deal with and usually just play from my phone plugged in anyways.

According to the IVT folks, MFT will continue to get updates when they are available.
