Carbide but broken in rear rotor screw

Went to change the rear brakes on my 17 platinum. To my surprise the head of the screw for the rotor is missing. I drilled it out and tried extracting it but the carbide but broke off and now I am out of ideas of how to get this off. Any help!?

Soak it wil PB Blaster and then try an EZ out.

It looks like the head of screw is gone so the only thing holding it to the hub is the rust. A couple whacks with the mini sledge from the back side should pop it off. Maybe a little heat too.

Rust holds better than any screw head.

As was mentioned, wack it with a hammer after spraying with some Liquid Wrench or other penetrating lubricant heat also helps, even a small propane torch from the hardware store will work. If you have a Dremel tool you can also grind out some of that bit around the edges.

For next time, find a set of left hand drill bits. Harbor Freight has a small set. Most of the time the screw will back out once that left hand bit bites into the steel.

I hate those screws, this happens all the time with those type rotors

That rotor should come off if it doesn’t with a hammer then try the dremmel remove some of the material around the edges.. the screw is countersink so the only thing holding the rotor on is a little ring of what is left of the screw head
