Hey, I'm lookin to get some Pioneer 6x8 3-ways, and I came across this site, Car Discount Stereos , and they have the cheapest prices on the speakers i've found so far. I was just wondering if any one has bought from here before and if it's a secure and good place to buy from. Or if anyone has another good site i could buy some from for under $70 because that's about what they are going for with shipping there. I think i'm only getting to for my front right now, and i've read about people getting good speakers for their front and not really worrying about their back ones. One more question, if i get these speakers should i get them for front and back and does ne one reccomend amping them. I appreciate in advance any one who answers my questions. I'm new to all this, so i'm thankful for all the help.

I ordered some Pioneer speakers for my Ranger from Millionbuy about a year ago. They have the Pioneers you're looking at for the same price, and their shipping is a little bit less (at least for shipping to Virginia). They have good ratings on Yahoo Shopping and BizRate, too.

I can't help about where to buy but about getting them just for the front I think it will make a big difference over stock, I had the pioneer deh 330 and 6x8 installed up front and it sounded so much better then stock, even though running them off the head unit is underpowering them. Later i added another set of 6x8 into the back and there was a noticeable improvement but not as much as the front.

If it is the stock HU then dump it and get a new HU that does 45+ watts, you're still underpowering them but they sound good.

I have those same speakers you want, they sound super good. I put them in all four doors at once though, so I'm not sure what it will sound like with half factory, half pioneer. If you want to save a few bucks you should go for the 2 way version of those, they sound awsome too and are a little easier on the wallet, but it's up to you. If I had to do it over again I would get the 2 ways, but that's just me.

Amp

Hey, I was just wondering if the pioneer 300 watt 4-channel amp would be too much to power 2-pioneer 6x8 three ways in the front and 2-pioneer 6x8 2 ways in the back.....Thanks for the help
