I finished install my CDT EF-61CF components yesterday and thought I would make a post about it. First off, I recommend these to ANYBODY. Many people have never heard of CDT and it's a very high quality company. I'm running an MA Audio HK-297 amp, 150 watts to each crossover. The person I bought the component set from also set me an MDF adapter to get the 6.5's in the door. It's not the best looking thing but I believe usability is more important than beauty. I put the grilles on the 6.5's for protection and because my door panel grilles are missing (believe people when they say they WON'T go back on)
I've got a pair of 6x8 JBL GTO-7525 coaxils in the back for rear fill. These are powered off the HU (CDA-9835). My tweets were pretty harsh when I put them in so I did some research and found that reversing the polarity was just what I needed. I used sticky tape on the tweets to find the best placement, which happened to be facing me in the door panel. I've got some pics below. Components are definitely better than coaxils!
