CEL Code P1336

Recently noticed that every now and again my startups would be rough, and also some shudder and a loss of power when accelerating in my '05 Sport Trac. CEL came on, got codes checked out and it was P1336 for the cam/crankshaft position sensor. Replaced the crankshaft position sensor, cleared codes, CEL went away for about a week then came back on. Was told by a mechanic buddy that a faulty MAF sensor could have been throwing false codes, replaced this too and had the same results. Truck has a rebuilt transmission and the engine was swapped out less than a year ago.

Hey did you ever get this fixed? I Have the exact same problem on my '02 Explorer v8 4.6l. I was gunna replace the crank sensor but I want to find out more before I get into it cause I read somewhere you might have to calibrate the new sensor or something.
