Change Oil light coming on....just had EXP serviced..

After buying this car used several weeks ago, I had the oil, lub, filter, transmisson serviced but not by the dealer. This was about 300 miles ago. Does the computer have to be reset after this kind of service?

What am I dealing with here? A bigger problem?

My '00 EB needs you to hit a "reset" button when you change the oil. It doesn't actually know when it's changes and it doesn't check the oil quality either. It's just a glorified 3000 mile meeter.

Where is this reset on an 02 EXP??

Not sure on the '02. Mine is just below the message center display to the right. Check your manual it should mention it.

My dad's old Grand Prix had something like that where after 3000 miles the change oil light came on. It took a series of pushing buttons to get it to reset. Was all in the manual though.
